Silent Hill Origins
I’ll keep this one short and sweet, just they way this game was.
Many, many, MANY moons ago I had the distinct pleasure of working for the GameStop Corporation. One of the cool things about working there was that we got to play any game we wanted. Having a PSP I tried everything I could get my hands on. Unfortunately, many of the early titles on the system were not very kind to the young [then expensive] portable.
I quickly lost interest in pursuing games for it. Most of the titles were low quality versions of console titles.
When Origins came about I was not excited at all.
Fast forward 8 years later [the game came out in ‘07] I finally slapped on my headphones, turned off the lights and loaded up Origins.
Oh My God What The @$&*#$ ! This game was really good, I mean really good. It’s one of the few titles that actually make the PSP feel like having a PS2 in your hands.
They got Akira Yamaoka to score the game [hopefully he was wearing his leather pants while recording], they dropped the Third Person Perspective [which looked 0_0] and adopted the classic Silent Hill camera style [which looks ^_^].
0_0 vs ^_^
Again, the game was short and sweet; probably due to the space on the UMD. I clocked in around 4 hours and 20 minutes to beat it [I probably spent over 1 hour looking at the Environments and Props though].
I now have a strange urge to buy Leather Pants.
