As Above, So Below

We caught this movie on a recent family trip with the In-laws. We had seen the Trailer before, honestly we were not super excited for the movie. It was a pleasant surprise when we finally saw it.

I do enjoy a good found footage film, unfortunately there aren’t that many that really rock. A few examples of the genre being well done are The Blair Witch, Troll Hunter and The VHS Series.

Again, the Trailer didn’t really excite. I it was a good call for the Studio not to show too much. There are a great deal of moments not shown in the Trailer that will definitely make you change your boxers once the movie is done.

The Film was cut really tight, leaving out those dragging moments that many found footage films have.

This quickly turns into this

It was also made in a really smart way, the Photography was top notch, the locations were really effective as well. Having the film set in catacombs gave the team great liberties, the catacombs in this movie are actually a really smart video game level.
