The making of gOSt v3 R
>> PROJECT – GOST V3 R <<I had been wanting to record offline sessions and catalogue them for a few years now. I had even created two initial variations which turned out to be too colorful for my taste.
As with many projects, the idea for exactly how this one would look would come to me much later. thanks to one of my friends.

gOst v3 R boot screen
The boot screen continues the GRUB theme from Linux. It also contains my actual lock-screen wallpaper. There are a few Easter eggs in there for those how know me personally. I wonder how many they can spot…
gOst v3 R audio screen
This one is pretty simple, a static desktop with an audio visualizer. The top right terminal shows information of the current topic which is being discussed. In this case, game details on Killzone as I am currently recording it offline.
This layout continues the Inconsolata font theme which is also displayed across my site.
gOst v3 R XL screen
Continuing with the military-esque theme which I really enjoy. I decided to remove the crosshair anchors which are present on the GOBLIN6 theme.
gOst v3 R 16:9 screen
This is where the main show happens while gaming. This screen can also transition back and forth from the previous XL screen. Seamless transition between each. Perfect.
gOst v3 R 4:3 screen
My personal favorite from this layout. As the stream is offline, I no longer need space for a chat box. Thus, I can highlight the current console I am currently on.

gOst v3 R web screen
This screen will also see a lot of action. I have also had the idea of making videos where I check out some of my favorite (past and present) sites.
There are two more features which could be added to the layout.
I had the idea of placing a camera behind me so I can game with the lights off and the screen could cast a shadow which would be my general outline. As these sessions are recorded late, I like to game with the lights off and the LED strips on.
A top-down camera would be nice. This way I could use it to show off my collection. I would purchase black surgeon gloves though. As hand-shots freak me out. Tired of seeing close ups of people’s nasty-dry-ass hands on the YouTube.
